Usual mistake when creating IntentServices

Do not forget to override the public empty constructor, or the service won’t launch
– Even if it’s correctly declared in the AndroidManifest.xml file
– Even if it has onHandleIntent() correctly overridden.

Example code:

public class MyService extends IntentService{
    public MyService(){
         super(null);
     }

    public MyService(String name) {
         super(name);
    }
    @Override
    protected void onHandleIntent(Intent intent) {
        //...
    }
 }
